I found a forum while searching google.. and then found Furcadia and then Second Life and FA

I identified with other furs and started to make friends with them. I was a loner in high school and never really fit in anywhere until I found the fandom

I cant possibly describe it in it's totality but I guess I would say my fursona is me, that's who I am.. and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love spending time with my furiends <3

It depends on who the person is that's asking..

I love the feeling of the community, sans the drama. Favorite thing is feeling more accepted and understood by my furiends I guess.

If that person bashes on me for being furry because of what they heard on the news, they have NO idea what furry is about. If I can't educate them they can go fuck themselves.

Ok so I know I don't exactly talk much.. or let anyone know whats "really" going on with me but I figured I would put down what I was thinking just because.. I apologize about the length but I mean, This may be the one and only time I really pour myself out like this :<

I started working at Wendy's right out of high school, I drove an hour from my parents house in the middle of backwoods nowhere, Maine to Orono to work for 6.25. I'd been having severe issues with depression and loneliness and back in 05 I wasn't aware of *any* other furs in the state so I decided to move out to find others like me. I chose VA beach because that's where my boyfriend Hayden at the time lived. So after much disagreement from my mom after 6 months I still packed up what I could in the car and just started driving, I got there in Aug 06 and spent time with him. I was happy, Hayden also was the person that introduced me to the Goo Goo Dolls.

I met DJ Genki and moved in with him then proceeded to look for work, I found it under a week at, you guessed it, Wendy's Crew member, 7.00. Life was doing fine, I was moderately happy.. I had a decent place to live, a job, a car, a boyfriend and a good friend to spend time with every day. Well that was all well and good until hydra moved in, started turning genki against me and tranceraccoon and managed to get us both evicted leaving me with only a 1 hours notice of getting out. That was probably one of the worst experiences i've ever had.. but I used a credit card to secure a hotel for a week and put the rest of my stuff in storage (Which I actually ended up paying $60 a month for a bit over 2 years. In hind sight it wasn't really worth it.. I don't know why I waited that long.)

Well, I didn't want to admit I wasn't capable of living out of my parents house after leaving and being independent so I took the first offer I was given which came from Zerodog in Huntsville, AL. Arrived Jan 07 and lived off credit cards to pay for rent, food and such since I was employed with a small computer company. I kept hoping the job would get better and give me more than like 5 hours a week but I was foolish and lived off my card for 8 months. (Who gives an 18 year old a card with a $500 limit, then after 6 months of steady payments say "Hey, your credit limit is $5,000 now" They didn't even notify me they did it, I just say the available credit limit on the next balance.)
So I ended up maxing that one out as was going to look for a serious job when I remembered that I had received a Bank of America card for $3,000 about the same time the other one got raised so I opened that account and continued to live off it. Stupid.

Eventually.. I realized it was just NOT going to get better and gave in to Wendy's but by that time I had dug myself so deep I'm still roughly where I was 2 years ago. I walked in, passed the app to the GM and got hired on the spot since it was a franchise store. For 6 months this tomboy harassed me, called me names, threw things at me until one day i snapped and threw a pan at her at which point she grabbed me by the shirt and started throwing punches, I protected myself by curling up on the floor (I never really was much of a fighter, I'd like to think I've improved but there's never been any cause for it since) Well, I brought in my torn shirt.. and i got the bitch fired! :D (I couldn't complain to the shift manager cause they were related, and there weren't any cameras so there was no proof it was actually going on until I got my shirt torn up. I actually still have that shirt somewhere)

Shortly afterward, I was the errand runner for the GM (getting coffee from the Starbucks, etc..) and got promoted to Shift manager. Went from 7.25 - 7.45 - 7.55 - 8.00 and I would have gotten promoted to assistant if I had stayed put but my living conditions just kept getting worse, relationships got strained and ended up moving into another furs house.. this house had dust, mold, mildew, animal waste and cockroaches EVERYWHERE even during the day, after moving in I became sick and stayed sick for the 6 months I lived there oddly feeling better only when i was at work. I probably would have stayed in Huntsville long enough to be an ASM if it wasn't destroying my health. I met Frankenson through my time at Fantasy Escape on Second Life and took him up on his offer so I could escape so again.. I packed up all my stuff I could and drove to Raleigh, NC and arrived Jan 09. I don't really think I've made any friends in the Triangle area or if I have I'm not sure where I stand, I haven't exactly hung out with any of the locals since like march. I went and applied everywhere and got hired to a little bakery inside RDU airport and then hired to Wendy's like 2 weeks later after an interview with the GM, DM and HR. I juggled both jobs for about a month or two until there were schedule discrepancies and I ended up missing work at RDU so they terminated me under reason "quit" so I've been working at Wendy's for 8.15, medical insurance, sick days, paid vacation and free meals and picking up whatever I can on the side for computer work.

I ran into a few problems with the roommate and considered moving out but managed to patch things up enough to get by. I don't think he really cares about it anymore cause he seems cool with everything but after something like that happens it's hard for me to trust again and get back to what once was. Anyways, in retrospect.. I really should have stayed true to my first plan on moving to Boston and not just taking the first option given to me.. apparently I didn't learn from my mistake of doing that the first time in moving to Alabama.

I came to an agreement with Capital one, HSBC and Bank of America recently.. I can send $400 to HSBC to settle, $500 to Capital one and I can use the card again and 6 payments of $300 to BoA to settle. That still leaves the Citibank card for $5,600 to deal with and my car payment but at least it's a start.

I've been thinking a lot lately about where my life is going, what I should be doing and what I've done. I'm still making roughly minimum wage for a kinda crap job that I'm not entirely sure I really care about anymore. I'm not exactly passionate about it and due to some mistakes probably won't get promoted to ASM if I stay at this store. I could always move, Again, and start over again but that's something I *Really* don't want to do.. I've already done it 4 times before.

I'm also really thinking about moving to Portland, Me; Manchester, NH; Outer suburbs of Boston, Ma for a couple of reasons.. Not so much looking for a job, but looking for other furs I know that will actually come around and hang out with me and give me some company And due to the fact that my mom knows I'm a gay furry and STILL wants me to move home, I know I'm lucky to have supportive parents like that, they accept me and say as long as it makes me happy to do it and to still want me to come home. I simply can't ignore that, I really should be within driving distance of my parents but also within distance of my current lifestyle which doesn't exist where they are.

Sooo... this is all contributing to what I think would improve my quality of life. Being close to family, having friends to spend time with, maybe finding a cute fox to date and a halfway decent job.. or at least a crap job that allows me to have as much overtime as i want/need.
None of this is where I am right now, that needs to change. I don't exactly know when I'll be financially stable enough to pull it off, move and start all over again somewhere new cause NC isn't working for me.. I've fallen into the same old problem I faced in AL and it sucks.
I'm hoping i'll be able to do this by February when taxes come back, maybe wait until march after FWA so I can still drive to it.
